The first reason for marriage is that it is God’s will. Genesis 2:18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Once you understand this, you’ll understand your partner and love him/her for who s/he is. Sometimes we fight because we don’t understand each other’s calling. Picture a Pastor and a Prophet in a marriage. The Pastor is loving and always want to help while the Prophet is a person who want to separate himself for time with God. Sometimes your kind heart as a Pastor can make you vulnerable but the Prophet’s character in your partner can bail you out. That’s how I appreciate the difference with my wife and hope you start checking the deference in you partner that makes your calling a success.
