The hunger for God will bring Him closer to you then you’ll experience His power

Romans 12:11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. When you have hunger for the Lord, staying in His Word, the closer you get to him. The closer you get to him that’s when you’ll experience his presence.

Today as you go to your different ministries, catch the spirit of your leader.

2 Kings 2:9 When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.

You cannot challenge the demons if you are not sure of your relationship with God.

1 Kings 18:24 Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” So all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken.”

Conversation with God

There is never a write time or place to pray, pray as you can’t. Prayer is communion with God. Prayer is led by the spirit, if you feel a need to pray, pray right there because that’s the time God had reserved to hear from you. This however does not mean we must not have a special place of prayer. At times separation is very important.

Isaiah 49:8 This is what the Lord says: “In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances.

The scripture says “In the time of favor”. It’s important to be in His will even as we pray so our prayers are in line with His plans for us. My prayer is to hear His voice clearly so not to miss the opportunity when God want to have some time with me. 

Romans 8:26-27 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

Anything you utter there is an opportunity f or somebody to listen to. Meaning the devil can also intercept but communicating with your heart cannot be interpreted. 

1 Corinthians 14:15-16 So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding. Otherwise when you are praising God in the Spirit, how can someone else, who is now put in the position of an inquirer, say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since they do not know what you are saying?

I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, [24] but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 8:8 “ ‘How can you say, “We are wise, for we have the law of the Lord,” when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?

When you move away from God, what you were entrusted with you’ll use it for worldly things instead of glorifying God.

Jeremiah 2:8 The priests did not ask, ‘Where is the Lord?’ Those who deal with the law did not know me; the leaders rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied by Baal, following worthless idols.

From the above scripture, we learn that they were called prophets, though they prophesied by Baal. When you are given a voice to worship God in songs, because you moved from God, your sing to the worldly songs and entertains people instead of using it for praise and worship. You have gift of prophecy but the source is no longer God.

When you have a natural gift even if you move away from God, he does not take it away, it’s only you who can move away from it.

It’s time for His works

Acts 2:17-18 “ ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. [18] Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

Ephesians 1:17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

If you want to know if you are a Christian or not, look at the things you do.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

If youdo the opposite of the above. John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
