One of the critical responsibility of Christians is to pray for their countries and the world at large.

When God wanted to destroy Sodom, Abraham stood in the gap and pleaded with God for the sake of the righteous who can die in the process. Genesis 18:22-25 The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the Lord. Then Abraham approached him and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?” Yesterday we had a serious accident where one of our bridges collapsed and this reminded me how critical it is for me and you to pray for our countries.
Never underestimate the power of your prayer. Stand in the gap for your family, your colleagues, friends and the world.
