If you make decisions based on feeling, you will miss God.Romans 11:33-36 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! “For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become His counselor?” “Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?” For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
When it rains both Christians and the non-Christians benefit, all belongs to Him. When you have a gift of music you can sing for the Lord or sing for the world. You can have a prophetic gift and edify the body of Christ or turn to be psychic, you have the gift but the source is not God. Romans 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
Acts 22:9-10 “And those who were with me indeed saw the light and were afraid, but they did not hear the voice of Him who spoke to me. So I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me, ‘Arise and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all things which are appointed for you to do.’ If you allow committees to run you as a man or woman of God, they will nutralize you. You alone got the instruction and only from you will God seek answers.
There are a lot of people who have been running away from they calling but are now doing mighty exploitation in their spiritual gift and there is still a lot of those who are still on the run. Exodus 3:10 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” While you are refusing your call, people are suffering. Being a servant of God has been painted with a wrong description, people think you are going to suffer, hence the term “Poor as a church mouse”. in the bible i don’t remember the God was using and they were poor. Remember that God can not call you without provision. Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. God demonstrated what his capable of in forcing those on the run when He caused a u-turn on Saul’s life, what follows is a life all Christians aspire to leave. Acts 9:3-4 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” Don’t regret the life you leaved before salvation, that’s how God purposed it. Moses had to go and learn the egyptians culture before he could be used effectively and when he ran away, God sent him back there, this time to do His will. Paul when addressin the mob in Jerusalem commented that he excelled in their culture. Acts 22:3 Then Paul said, “I am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, and I was brought up and educated here in Jerusalem under Gamaliel. As his student, I was carefully trained in our Jewish laws and customs. I became very zealous to honor God in everything I did, just like all of you today. If you know you are called and have been ignoring the call, know that you are depriving others. Don’t wait for God to take drastic measures.
You can’t be the same after an encounter with the Holy Spirit. Acts 19:2 “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them. “No,” they replied, “we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” Your character after receiving the Holy Spirit must be different. You can be going to church everyday yet your character still resembles that of a non-believer.
1. God is who He says He is.
2. God can do what He says He can do.
3. I am who God says I am.
4. I can do all things through Christ.
5. God’s word is alive and active in me.
From Believing God by Beth Moore. A wonderful book that I encourage you to have. May the Lord continue to reveal the Word to her so she continue serving us through her writing.
Matthew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Making your calling a priority does not mean you must stop working and only go to church but where you are, there you are. You are called to serve. If you are neglecting your calling because of your job, car, family, God can take take it away. The gifts that God gave are to serve His people. God was angry with Moses for giving excuses instead of serving. Exodus 4:13-14 But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.” Then the LORD became angry with Moses. “All right,” he said. “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he speaks well. And look! He is on his way to meet you now. He will be delighted to see you.
God won’t force you out of a situation you are still happy with. You must be tired of it and make a decision by seeking help. John 5:5-6 One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him and knew he had been ill for a long time, he asked him, “Would you like to get well?”. A drug addict get a quick recovery if he is the one who decided to quit but if family members takes him to rehab, it’s easy for him to go back. When a prophet ask you what is you problem, it’s not that God can’t reveal your situation but they want you to acknowledge that you have a problem. He has heard your prayers, the answer has been sent but don’t miss it.
There are those who are gifted, those who are authorized and those who are prepared for the ministry. 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. The gift that you have received is not only for you and your family but for God’s people. There are those who have been prepared to come and serve with their gifts. Ephesians 4:11-12 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. It’s important to have the five fold in the ministry for edifying the body of Christ. As Christ have been given authority, there are thise who have been authorized for the ministry. Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. No one is born knowing what their gift is until they do and,as they do they enter their calling. If you don’t do what you are called for, you are depriving others. 1 Corinthians 12:27-28 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.
