Luke 6:45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. God saw it necessary that the heart must be hidden far away inside the ribs and not expose it’s true character. Though the heart is deep inside, it’s character is seen by the way we leave and interact with each other. 1 John 2:14 I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one. So many goes to church everyday and confess the love they have. The difference between a fact and the truth is that, a fact can be proved wrong in the future but the truth remains. James 3:14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. A quick thermometer to see your heart character is the way you relate to those who offended you. Do you forgive as you say in the Lord’s Prayer? You cannot change some of these on your own but once acknowledge the wrong, you go to God in prayer and ask Him to deal with what you cannot change on your own. Don’t allow pride to deny you a chance for a good relationship with God. There is no way you can be a Christian and you hate and the Word does not convict you but because you allow pride to control your obedience to the Word, the heart character continues to manifest. My prayer today is that May God search our heart and remove that which is a hindrance to our Christian life.
