When you serve, you dedicate your time. Sometimes that means being away from those you love. You need to understand that it is not a physical walk. There is impartation that happens in the spiritual realm.

When you understand the spiritual relationship, serving become easy. The same way Joshua commanded the sun to stand still, Prophets of today can still declare and the favor of God upon them makes it comes to pass.
Matthew 10:41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
