Most of us look at our immediate situations and write of possibilities of a prosperous life. It’s in difficult times where great ideas are sometimes birthed. Being from poverty background does not define you. Anything is possible in life if one think right. Start small and aim for high goals. Matthew 25:24-25 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’
You can never be great if you don’t see yourself as such. You cannot rise your own confessions. Think Right, Think Positive, life has so much to offer.
Sin is nice but it leads to destruction. There is a saying “Better late than never”. It’s better to appear slow than to leave a fast life that leads to death. Genesis 2:9 The LORD God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground-trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. In the middle of the garden he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Christianity looks slow and boring, it’s not attractive to many. The world outside is fast and entertaining but at the end, it leads to disaster. Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Romans 12:20 Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
In the world they say too much of anything is bad for us. Sometimes what we know stands in the way of how we relate with God. When God spoke to Ananias, his immediate response was influenced by the information he had. Acts 9:11-13 The Lord said, “Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now. I have shown him a vision of a man named Ananias coming in and laying hands on him so he can see again.” “But Lord,” exclaimed Ananias, “I’ve heard many people talk about the terrible things this man has done to the believers in Jerusalem!
After God created Adam and Eve, they walked around naked without care. They were as honest as a new born child. Genesis 2:25 Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame.
After they ate the fruit, their eyes were opened and suddenly realized that they were naked. Before then, the Word naked did not have a bearing, it had no influence on how they perceive a naked body. Genesis 3:7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
Children don’t have hatred but are taught to hate, this is one of the quotes from late President of South Africa, Mr Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. The information they are fed affects how they see and relate to other people.
Sometimes information can help us avoid danger. We must try by al means to think good about ourself and those around us. Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
The fact that a sick person was prayed for at church and got healed does not mean that if you are sick and you go to church, prayed for and nothing happens, the gift is nullified. It all happens at the appointed time. Luke 4:23-27 Then he said, “You will undoubtedly quote me this proverb: ‘Physician, heal yourself’-meaning, ‘Do miracles here in your hometown like those you did in Capernaum.’ But I tell you the truth, no prophet is accepted in his own hometown. “Certainly there were many needy widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, when the heavens were closed for three and a half years, and a severe famine devastated the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them. He was sent instead to a foreigner-a widow of Zarephath in the land of Sidon. And many in Israel had leprosy in the time of the prophet Elisha, but the only one healed was Naaman, a Syrian.”
Those who are ignorant of the healing gift always question the possibility of HIV infected person being healed through prayer because the proof they require is sending somebody with the same problem to be healed.
John 10:30 I and My Father are one.” The simple way of understanding the trinity, God, The Son, and the Holy Spirit as one, is to think of yourself. You are either a Father, Child, Brother, and Cousin in different circumstances but all refers to you.
Colossians 1:15-16 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see- such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
Revelation 19:13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
