Colossians 2:9 For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.

You cannot rise to the level where God want you if you still value your relationship with him based on created things.

Wherever there is no revelation, there will never be true obedience. Know why you do things. Micah 6:6-7 What can we bring to the LORD? Should we bring him burnt offerings? Should we bow before God Most High with offerings of yearling calves? Should we offer him thousands of rams and ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Should we sacrifice our firstborn children to pay for our sins? When God put a word in you, its you and Him. It’s during actualization that the devil comes in. He will give you reasons why you should not obey God. God put an idea for you to do something, once you put money to it, the value suffers. If you value created things more than God, you cannot rise to the level he want you. Genesis 22:2 “Take your son, your only son-yes, Isaac, whom you love so much-and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.” There is always a wrestle in our mind that the devil brings when it’s time to commit ourselves to God. Like the snake in the garden, what fruit is Satan showing you, what earthly thing has he shown you for you not to obey God. When you have to go to church and it’s holiday, a thought of resting might come and you valuate between resting and attending church. God has taught us how to give and how to put value to what He want. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Giving to God should be revealed to us otherwise we see the pastor and we decide to reduce the offering. See God and remove people. Though you are giving in church, always remember that you are doing it for God not the pastor. God cannot receive the physical gifts, he has no hand but has put people around us as his proxies. Proverbs 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Those that God has put in charge, are trusted to use the things responsibly if not God deals with them. Sometimes it’s not even material things, your time spent with God is very important. Holy Spirit can invite you into prayer time and you have reasons not to wake up. Numbers 18:13 All the first crops of their land that the people present to the LORD belong to you. Any member of your family who is ceremonially clean may eat this food.

There is a formula for giving. A hand that is holding something cannot receive. As you release what is in you more comes in. Always remember that there is nothing man can do to mKe God relevant. Giving is not a bribe. You don’t give expecting a return. Give from your heart. Dedicate yourself to God because you understand why not because you want to please your partner or your family. Luke 6:38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full-pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”

Fear of flying

I’m one of those who hate flying because the plane scares the hell out of me. The most painful part is when on the drive way, you hear the engine firing up. That sound and by the time it starts to ascend, I’m dead and done with praying in tongues. Cruising at space is fine, problem will come when we descend. Lately I found a way of dealing with it, when I’m on headphones, listening to music, all is good. So if you are one of those, there you go!

Appreciate your current situation but see beyond it and believe that it is possible to live a comfortable life.

Serve faithfully on your current position no matter how low it might be. As a follower be faithful to your leader. To be great leader be the best servant. Luke 16:10-12 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?

Having a vision helps you focus.

There will be dry seasons but your vision will help you not to give up. Your vision makes you respond to situations in a positive way. Sometimes the challenges are necessary in helping us to appreciate our progress and the blessings. Genesis 45:4-5 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer. And he said again, “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt. But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives.

Sometimes it is important to keep your future plans to yourself until you implement. Remember that what you are excited about not everyone share the same feeling. People can discourage and tell you how impossible is your vision. People will cause you to terminate your dream prematurely. Hide the baby, Herod want to kill it. Sometimes you have to go through rough times before you get to your blessings. Matthew 2:13 After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother,” the angel said. “Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

There will never be a convenient time to carry out God’s instructions.

1 Kings 2:3 Observe the requirements of the LORD your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.

To do the will of God will sometimes require that we sacrifice the things we love. The devil will never leave you as long as you are too attached to created things or material things.

Genesis 22:2 “Take your son, your only son-yes, Isaac, whom you love so much-and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”

We have been given authority.

Jesus was disappointed that men lack the necessary faith to release the power that has been given to them. Luke 9:39-41 An evil spirit keeps seizing him, making him scream. It throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It batters him and hardly ever leaves him alone. I begged your disciples to cast out the spirit, but they couldn’t do it.” Jesus said, “You faithless and corrupt people! How long must I be with you and put up with you?” Then he said to the man, “Bring your son here.”

Give to man and woman of God from your heart. Critics won’t help your cause.

1 Samuel 9:6-9 But the servant said, “I’ve just thought of something! There is a man of God who lives here in this town. He is held in high honor by all the people because everything he says comes true. Let’s go find him. Perhaps he can tell us which way to go.” “But we don’t have anything to offer him,” Saul replied. “Even our food is gone, and we don’t have a thing to give him.” “Well,” the servant said, “I have one small silver piece. We can at least offer it to the man of God and see what happens!” (In those days if people wanted a message from God, they would say, “Let’s go and ask the seer,” for prophets used to be called seers.)

Anything you give, give from your heart not expecting reward. Your reward is with God.

What we say can affect our whole life.

Many relationships have collapsed, people are dead, and some are in prison because of tongue trouble. Learn to discipline your tongue. What you say cannot be reversed. In our anger we say things that cannot be reversed. James 3:2 Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
