Moses asked God “Who should I say sent me” God said, tell the people who I am is not conceivable. God did not want Moses to be limited in understanding who He is. Exodus 3:14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.'”
Colossians 1:23 But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.
Meditate on the good things about your life. You are better than your current circumstances and your background.
Psalm 96:8 Give to the LORD the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his courts. While the issue of giving, is more associated with money, there are different ways of giving to God. Exodus 23:19 “Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the Lord your God. During this interesting time of the Soccer World Cup, how many sacrificed attending a service to watch the match? Most of us we fall short when it comes to giving to God. When the topic of tithing comes, the one thing that comes to mind is how much should one tithe, because we have put a pastor’s face and removed the one we are giving to. God is not there to receive your offering. You will never tithe the right way as long as you think the pastor will be enriched. Instead of tithing where you don’t believe your money will be used accordingly rather tithe where you believe it will be meaningful than to tithe grudgingly. Matthew 26:7-9 While he was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume and poured it over his head. The disciples were indignant when they saw this. “What a waste!” they said. “It could have been sold for a high price and the money given to the poor.”
We hardly make time to study the Word, we want to finish the sopies and chatting on social media and by the time we want to study the Word, we are too tired and falling asleep and expect revelation from the Word. We don’t make time for praying. Few make time for fasting on their own, we only comply with the fast initiated at church. The ways of God requires of us to dig deep hence the road to heaven is narrow. The activities that are more appealing to most leads to distraction. Matthew 26:40-41 Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Couldn’t you watch with me even one hour? Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!”
Whether you want to take away tithe as some believe it to be irrelevant nowadays, what you give to God must be the best. Time or material
If you get down and you quarrel everyday
You’re saying prayers to the devils, I say, wooh
Why not help one another on the way?
Make it much easier (just a little bit easier)
Ecclesiastes 12:11 The words of the wise are like goads, and the words of scholars are like well-driven nails, given by one Shepherd.
We can be full of activities of the church and look holy but without love for God’s people, we are just waisting our time. You cannot begin to even think of loving God if you don’t love those God has given you. Revelation 2:2-4 “I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don’t tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars. You have patiently suffered for me without quitting. “But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first!
Many believes they don’t need another person to pray for them because God also hears their prayers. Yes, God hears and answer our prayers but the answer might come through others. Acts 9:11-12 The Lord said, “Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now. I have shown him a vision of a man named Ananias coming in and laying hands on him so he can see again.”
