1 Samuel 24:4-6 “Now’s your opportunity!” David’s men whispered to him. “Today the LORD is telling you, ‘I will certainly put your enemy into your power, to do with as you wish.'” So David crept forward and cut off a piece of the hem of Saul’s robe. But then David’s conscience began bothering him because he had cut Saul’s robe. He said to his men, “The LORD forbid that I should do this to my lord the king. I shouldn’t attack the LORD’s anointed one, for the LORD himself has chosen him.”
Jeremiah 23:23 Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the LORD. “No, I am far away at the same time. The power of God travels distances we cannot reach. Believe that God can touch your relatives wherever they are as you pray for their salvation, healing and deliverance. The centurion woman believed that Jesus can heal her servant without His physical presence. Matthew 8:8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
This same power has been given to some, to be able to help God’s people. The Spirit in a man makes all this possible. Don’t allow your reasoning to be a stumbling block to a relationship with God.
The people you associate with and the environment you leave in can influence your behavior. Numbers 11:26 Two men, Eldad and Medad, had stayed behind in the camp. They were listed among the elders, but they had not gone out to the Tabernacle. Yet the Spirit rested upon them as well, so they prophesied there in the camp.

If there is a barrier between you and your leader, you cannot receive what they have. You must be spiritual to receive and to maintain spiritual things. By serving your leader faithfully, the anointing rubs off. There is Impartation as you fellowship together. After Elijah’s death, King Jehoshaphat asked if there was any prophet they can inquire from to here if God is in what they were about to do. One of king Joram’s officers acknowledged the fact that by virtue of Elisha serving under Elijah, he must have received part of what Elijah had.
2 Kings 3:11 But King Jehoshaphat of Judah asked, “Is there no prophet of the LORD with us? If there is, we can ask the LORD what to do through him.” One of King Joram’s officers replied, “Elisha son of Shaphat is here. He used to be Elijah’s personal assistant.”
You can be able perform certain things because of the environment you are in not necessarily that you are capable. The spirit that is operating at a place can affect your capability and behavior. There is these saying that when you meet a man or woman of God, catch the anointing.
When Saul’s messengers came to a place where Samuel and other prophets were prophesying, though they were not prophets, they were able to prophesy. 1 Samuel 19:20 Then Saul sent messengers to take David. And when they saw the group of prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as leader over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
When in a ministry where there is healing and deliverance, the spirit of the Set Man is dominating and by virtue of you stepping into to the place, you can receive without being prayed for. A man or woman of God can instruct you to pray for a person and the person is delivered. You can try to pray for a person outside and nothing happens, because the anointing in that place enabled you to.
God allowed some leaders to have the spirit of Moses for them to function at his level. Numbers 11:17 Then I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will put the same upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone.
We also learned that Aaron was Moses’s prophet meaning his functionality was dependent of Moses not God. Exodus 7:1 So the LORD said to Moses: “See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.
Matthew 8:27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
Acts 10:38 And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
2 Kings 2:9 When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.
