That God promised, does not mean it will be a walk in the park.

No man can arrive at a full measure of success until he hath completely crushed the spirit of procrastination within him. God promised to take the Israelites to a land flowing with milk and honey. The road was full of challenges that led to doubt and in the process led to the extension of the journey. Hold on to the promise, be focused and that God will sustain you through the challenges. Habakkuk 2:2 Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.

Most like reciting verses of the promises of God and in the process sit back and do nothing hoping that a miracle will happen. To a every promise, there will be resistance. You need to fight for what you believe.

Stay a little longer, everything comes to an end

When we pray, we expect Jesus to come and attend the situation now. We keep repeating our request because we don’t have faith. Jesus only ask that we trust and believe that He will never forsake us. He is there in our storm and in our sickness. If Jesus ran to attend to Lazarus when Mary and Martha called, the healing miracle would not have been bigger that the miracle of resurrection. John 11:1-6 A man named Lazarus was sick. He lived in Bethany with his sisters, Mary and Martha. This is the Mary who later poured the expensive perfume on the Lord’s feet and wiped them with her hair. Her brother, Lazarus, was sick. So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, “Lord, your dear friend is very sick.” But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.” So although Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, he stayed where he was for the next two days.

Learn to Trust God.

It’s all in the plan.

There are places and people God have lined up to take you where He want you to be. You’ll travel through good places and bad places, be in the company of people who wish you well and those who want to harm you but the journey is known to God. God will even give express permission for you to be in those places, in those places of turmoil and hardship, goodness and happiness, He is there with you. The relationship between Jacob and Laban started of well. Genesis 28:15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” This revelation was music to Jacob’s ears not knowing that his uncle will make him labor unfairly. Joseph had a dream of how great he will be but the initial journey was a painful story to tell, yet God was with him. There are people who will give you unfair treatment and seem evil but at the end the experience shapes you to what God want you to be. Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. We are quick to wish away tough situations and think it should all be a smooth ride.

Remember that even in those tough conditions, God is still there.

God is always there for situations we cannot handle on our own.

God is always there for situations we cannot handle on our own.

We spend most of the time praying about things we are capable of doing on our own. God want us to trust him on those that seems impossible. 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

God trust his design and never loose sleep because we are crying for things we can do on our own. God want us to trust him and believe on the promises He has made. He promised that he will always be there with us. Sometimes it might seem like he is not there but in due time when that situation rears it’s ugly head, he’ll come and take control of the situation. Acts 12:10 When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.

The angel only walked with Peter till the gate and trusted him to walk the rest alone.

It’s not a mistake.

Every stage of your life is known by God. Where you are now is not a surprise for God. The disappearance of Kish’s donkeys was divine incidence. It caused panic to the family but to Samuel, it was Devine incident.1 Samuel 9:15-16 Now the LORD had told Samuel the previous day, “About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him to be the leader of my people, Israel. He will rescue them from the Philistines, for I have looked down on my people in mercy and have heard their cry.”

Undesirable things happens in our life and we are quick to attribute it to Satan. God promised never to leave us but we always think of the presence of the devil than the presence of God in our situation. During the time Job was facing difficult loss of his children, it looked like God has forsaken him but everything was approved by God.

When good things happens, we bless and praise God but when bad happens, we think God is not aware. We only expect the good things and are never prepared for disappointments. 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

Thank God for everything in your life.
