If there is harmony in churches and we believe in the works that Jesus did, why are we not experiencing the move of the Holy Spirit? Mark 16:17-18 These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
If all churches are following Christ, He promised his presence there. The Holy Spirit cannot be present in a place and be idle. Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
In the world, when one follows another person, they emulate their leader. Why are churches divided on what Jesus did?
Have faith in God, believe God.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Some ministers believes, praying for a person is about laying of hands only and nothing can be achieved by just uttering words and the same pastors asks that we pray for the country. How is our prayer changing and making an impact when we are not touching anything but standing in the gap and asking God to intervene. Ezekiel 37:3-4 And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord GOD, You know.” Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! Ezekiel was not asked to lay hands but to speak and declare and it was so. As a Christian have faith to walk in the supernatural power of God.
Sometimes jealousy stands in the way, instead let the gifts work together for the house of God. Ephesians 4:11-13 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
If everything within me can worship God, what can stop the Word from speaking to every part of me, how can my bones resist the power? Psalm 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding. When you are operating in your spiritual office, you must be led by the spirit. Understand that it is not your doing but God. Zechariah 4:6 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.
As a servant of God who does deliverance, you are able to walk around people without anyone manifesting but once you enter your spiritual office demons are unable to be next to you. Luke 4:36 Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, “What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.” When you acknowledge the Holy Spirit’s presence and that He is in charge, things just happens. When ministering at prayer line the people you were able to stand with now can’t stand your presence and can’t be at close proximity.
The man who was demon-possessed upon seeing Jesus, he ran to Him. Mark 5:6-7 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.”
What is impossible with man, is possible with God. Genesis 41:38 And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”
The Spirit in a man, allows him to move in the supernatural. That same spirit, can heal your sickness today no matter what the doctors said. 2 Kings 13:20-21 Then Elisha died and was buried. Groups of Moabite raiders used to invade the land each spring. Once when some Israelites were burying a man, they spied a band of these raiders. So they hastily threw the corpse into the tomb of Elisha and fled. But as soon as the body touched Elisha’s bones, the dead man revived and jumped to his feet!
Psalm 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. God’s creation came through the Word and nothing was created without Him. His desire is for us to live a healthy life. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
There is power in the name of Jesus, to heal and to deliver. That is a promise from God. Acts 3:16 “Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed-and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.
Acts 5:12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. The fact that there is no deliverance in a ministry it does not mean the absence of demons. It simply means you gladly fellowship with them. Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons.
When Jesus sent His disciples, they had 3 tasks. Deliverance, Healing and to teach the Gospel. If Jesus acknowledges that there is a need for the three ministries and you are called but denounce one of them, who are you following. Luke 9:1-2 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Nicodemus said only one who God is with, can perform signs and wonders. The Holy Spirit cannot dwell in a place and be idle and demons cannot sit comfortably in His presence. John 3:2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
You have been given authority, use it to help God’s people.
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” A person must realize the need for deliverance not us force them into it. As Christians we like inviting people to church because we think they needs deliverance not invite them to meet Jesus. There must be pre-counseling so that a person understand deliverance. The person must also be counseled after deliverance so they can maintain what they received.
After Jesus healed this man, he was given the instruction to sin no more.
For you us to understand the possibility, we need to understand that we are spiritual beings before we are human beings. Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
God created man in his image which is the spiritual being. This spiritual being was given authority. The gifts that we received did not come physical but spiritually. 1 Corinthians 12:9 The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing.
Things that came into contact with Paul were able to deliver and heal people. Acts 19:11-12 God gave Paul the power to perform unusual miracles. When handkerchiefs or aprons that had merely touched his skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and evil spirits were expelled.
Knowing that we are spiritual beings with spiritual gifts and authority means distance cannot be a barrier for healing to happen. Paul was not there when the handkerchief healed people. Even after Elisha was dead, his bones raised somebody from the dead. 2 Kings 13:20-21 BaThen Elisha died and was buried.
Why is it that a house that is occupied does not decay but if you can leave your house vacant for a lengthy period even the ceiling collapses, it’s not like you were maintaining the roof but it stays intact as long as you are there. The authority that we have can be undersestimated as human beings.
Matthew 10:1 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
Jesus could not say his disciples must go out and cast out demons if they don’t exist. You can’t say you follow a person if you don’t believe in his works. The Bible that we all use, says God does nothing without revealing to His prophets. Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
Most well-off countries denies prophets. What does this implies to the churches that exist in these countries? If deliverance and prophetic gifts are denied there are high chances you fellowship with devil worshippers everyday and they are sitting comfortably because they are not in danger.
God must first open your eyes for you to go and open other eyes. Acts 26:15-18 “‘Who are you, lord?’ I asked. “And the Lord replied, ‘I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting. Now get to your feet! For I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant and witness. Tell people that you have seen me, and tell them what I will show you in the future. And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’
Moses had to experience Egypt and go out of Egypt for him to come and deliver the Israelites. You cannot deliver somebody from something that you are still under bondage from. Spirit gives gives life to Spirit. You cannot give what you don’t have. Exodus 3:7-10 And the LORD said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
