Calamities follows from moving away from God.

Hosea 10:10 Now whenever it fits my plan, I will attack you, too. I will call out the armies of the nations to punish you for your multiplied sins.

Currently so many bad things are happening around the world. We have normalized things that were forbidden in the past in the name of rights. When calamities comes we say, where is God in all this? Isn’t it time we repent and go back to God. 1 Corinthians 6:12 You say, “I am allowed to do anything”-but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.

A river that flows from south to north will never decide to change the direction but man with all authority and status accorded, disobeys God on every opportunity he finds.

God can use anything to achieve His purpose. The environment is very good at obeying God. We have degraded to an extent that God trusts the animals we have named to achieve His purpose. Jonah 1:12 “Throw me into the sea,” Jonah said, “and it will become calm again. I know that this terrible storm is all my fault.” The see and the fish obeyed God to take Jonah to his calling. Jonah 1:16-17 The sailors were awestruck by the LORD’s great power, and they offered him a sacrifice and vowed to serve him. Now the LORD had arranged for a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights.

As the leader of God’s people, when you disobey Him, He can continue using you to help His people but know that your time is coming.

God is more concerned about His people. When He gives you an assignment and during the process pride takes over, God continues to use you to touch, heal, prophesy but times comes where you’ll face the consequences of disobeying Him. Numbers 20:24 “The time has come for Aaron to join his ancestors in death. He will not enter the land I am giving the people of Israel, because the two of you rebelled against my instructions concerning the water at Meribah.
