The devil can identify a faithless prayer. You cannot deliver a demon when you don’t have faith on the name you are using. If we are all calling the name of Jesus, we should see results.
Acts 19:13-15 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
God promised not to leave us no forsake us but every time we are intimidated, we forget all the promises and what he has done. Let the Word stay in your heart so your faith can be increased and the Word speak during situations of desperation.1 Kings 19:2-4 So Jezebel sent this message to Elijah: “May the gods strike me and even kill me if by this time tomorrow I have not killed you just as you killed them.” Elijah was afraid and fled for his life. He went to Beersheba, a town in Judah, and he left his servant there. Then he went on alone into the wilderness, traveling all day. He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, LORD,” he said. “Take my life, for I am no better than my ancestors who have already died.”
After Elijah killed all 850 false prophets, when he heard that Jezebel want to kill him, he forgot what God just did through him. If you say God rather take you now, do you know where you are going?
Doubt your doubt not God.
James 2:22 You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.
A hungry person does not need prayer, he need food. When a person is hungry, you cannot say let’s pray. First sort out the hunger then the scripture will make sense.James 2:15-17 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”-but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
Job 42:5 "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You.
An experience with God will improve your faith. Pray for that personal experience so you can serve God faithfully.
Reasoning stands in our way to experiencing the supernatural power of God.There are men and woman of God who limit the works of God but constraining the operation to their presence. 2 Kings 5:11 But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’
God can resolve your situation wherever you are. Pray that God help you move in faith. Jeremiah 23:23 Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the LORD. “No, I am far away at the same time. The centurion believed that God’s Word can reach and heal his servant, why are others finding it difficult that People can be healed wherever they are when a servant of God pray for them? Are we following the same Bible or the same Master? Matthew 8:8 But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed.
Jeremiah 23:23 Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the LORD. “No, I am far away at the same time. The power of God travels distances we cannot reach. Believe that God can touch your relatives wherever they are as you pray for their salvation, healing and deliverance. The centurion woman believed that Jesus can heal her servant without His physical presence. Matthew 8:8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
This same power has been given to some, to be able to help God’s people. The Spirit in a man makes all this possible. Don’t allow your reasoning to be a stumbling block to a relationship with God.
James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Satan is going to bring a situation in your life so you can doubt and curse God. Resist and reject him at all cost. During testing time, focus on the cross and never look to right no to the left.
Job 2:9 His wife said to him, “Are you still trying to maintain your integrity? Curse God and die.” What Job lost, God repaid with even greater things. Ask God to grant you wisdom to persevere. James 1:4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Faith is to possess something that you don’t physically have. Our spiritual elders did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
If you can see it in the spirit, it is possible. See IT, Believe IT, Receive IT.
Luke 9:38-41 Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying, “Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child. And behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out; it convulses him so that he foams at the mouth; and it departs from him with great difficulty, bruising him. So I implored Your disciples to cast it out, but they could not.” Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”
When you are serving, there are things that you can do, there are things only your mentor can do. It is not that you can’t do what he does but your faith has not risen to his level. Gehazi used Elisha’s staff but could not raise the dead boy.
2 Kings 4:31 Gehazi hurried on ahead and laid the staff on the child’s face, but nothing happened. There was no sign of life. He returned to meet Elisha and told him, “The child is still dead.”
