If you have found it in your heart to bring something before a man or woman of God, there is nothing wrong with your gesture, it is biblical. 1 Samuel 9:6-9 But the servant said, “I’ve just thought of something! There is a man of God who lives here in this town. He is held in high honor by all the people because everything he says comes true. Let’s go find him. Perhaps he can tell us which way to go.” “But we don’t have anything to offer him,” Saul replied. “Even our food is gone, and we don’t have a thing to give him.” “Well,” the servant said, “I have one small silver piece. We can at least offer it to the man of God and see what happens!” (In those days if people wanted a message from God, they would say, “Let’s go and ask the seer,” for prophets used to be called seers.)
Leave people to talk, they also have the choice made not to offer which. The motive of our action is what God is interested in. If the man or woman of God abuses the children God led to to him or her, at the appointed time God will deal him or her. Whether you do something or nothing, remember that people will still talk, it’s in their nature. Critics will always be there. Having sad that, let’s not be ignorant Christians, you cannot be showering your Pastor with gifts when your immediate family is leaving behind poverty line.
Relationships are destroyed because people want to be prominent. John did not ask why Peter used singularity while they were sent together. Acts 3:6 But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”. If you don’t know what you are good at, you will be jealous.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
Ecclesiastes 2:24 So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God.
When you are given something, you still have to receive it. God gave us dominion, we are not exercising it because we don’t acknowledge it. Because we underutilize the power, we traded for fear.
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
1 Corinthians 12:28 Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages.
Why is the prophetic hated if it’s the one gift we must desire to have. 1 Corinthians 14:1 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. Prophets speaks the oracles of God, the deep things and the devil don’t want people to come out from the cage that he has boxed them in. That one thing that is in the forefront of fighting his kingdom is full of controversies for a reason.
Those who are called focus on their calling.
1 Corinthians 12:7-10 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.
Psalm 138:8 The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
Gideon knew what God is capable of but his mind limited him from experiencing God’s presence. He was already anointed to save the Israelites.Judges 6:13 Gideon said to Him, “O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the LORD has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.”
If you appreciate the power that exist you are open to experience it. There are a lot of gifts that are dormant with us. Judges 6:14 Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”
