Psalm 138:8 The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
Gideon knew what God is capable of but his mind limited him from experiencing God’s presence. He was already anointed to save the Israelites.Judges 6:13 Gideon said to Him, “O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the LORD has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.”
If you appreciate the power that exist you are open to experience it. There are a lot of gifts that are dormant with us. Judges 6:14 Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
1 Corinthians 12:4-10 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. One who does not know his gift is dangerous to the works of God because he spend time criticizing others. When you know your gift, worry about multiplying it. Matthew 25:24-28 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’ “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.
Genesis 25:23 And the LORD said to her: “Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger.”
God already declared that Jacob will be great but he used shortcuts to acquire what was already declared. Genesis 25:31 But Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright as of this day.”
Ask God to show you your future then you will not be worried about what seems to be delays. If it’s from God, though it tarries, it shall come to pass. Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
Ephesians 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.
With the gifts we have been given comes the responsibility to use and develop them. The gift you have is for others. Ephesians 4:11-12 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
Having a prophetic gift is like a TV signal receiver, it’s capable of receiving signal. If tuned incorrectly, it receives wrong signal. You can have a prophetic gift, if the gift is not used, the devil capitalize on the capability and the source of your information is not God anymore.
Judges 13:3-4 And the Angel of the LORD appeared to the woman and said to her, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son. Now therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean.
You can’t be a prophet and be found everywhere. You must be available to hear from God for his people. Protecting your spiritual gifts can create conflicts with those who have expectations of the flesh.
Maintaining means you please God or be caught up in pleasing man by disobeying on the instructions.
