While Christians entertain critics, people are suffering.

That there are fake prophets and pastors, doesn’t mean the work of Christ must stop. Whether you do something or not, remember that critics will find something to talk about, just be in the will of God. Matthew 9:32-34 When they left, a demon-possessed man who couldn’t speak was brought to Jesus. So Jesus cast out the demon, and then the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed. “Nothing like this has ever happened in Israel!” they exclaimed. But the Pharisees said, “He can cast out demons because he is empowered by the prince of demons.”

If Christ was criticized by people who ought to preach the gospel, who are you? We use the same book but we differ because we use human understanding.

Jesus continues to heal and deliver people even today.

What people don’t know, they reject, what they don’t understand they criticize. Luke 13:32 Jesus replied, “Go tell that fox that I will keep on casting out demons and healing people today and tomorrow; and the third day I will accomplish my purpose. The same deliverance and healing he did, He continues to do through His servants today. Why are we rejecting His works today, is it because we don’t believe that God can heal or we don’t believe the people ministering the healing? God’s people are suffering while pastors fights about owning congregants. When you are called by God, you will know your purpose and will not spend time worrying about what another Pastor is doing. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Those who rejected the works during Jesus era, also rejected Him, so they had reason to want to believe that He can do what He said He can do. If you follow someone, you want to imitate what they are doing. If you are rejecting Jesus’ works and you are a Pastor, who are you following. What part of his ministry are you practicing? What about the gift of the Holy Spirit?

God does things not because we want Him to but because it is in His will

The fact that a sick person was prayed for at church and got healed does not mean that if you are sick and you go to church, prayed for and nothing happens, the gift is nullified. It all happens at the appointed time. Luke 4:23-27 Then he said, “You will undoubtedly quote me this proverb: ‘Physician, heal yourself’-meaning, ‘Do miracles here in your hometown like those you did in Capernaum.’ But I tell you the truth, no prophet is accepted in his own hometown. “Certainly there were many needy widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, when the heavens were closed for three and a half years, and a severe famine devastated the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them. He was sent instead to a foreigner-a widow of Zarephath in the land of Sidon. And many in Israel had leprosy in the time of the prophet Elisha, but the only one healed was Naaman, a Syrian.”

Those who are ignorant of the healing gift always question the possibility of HIV infected person being healed through prayer because the proof they require is sending somebody with the same problem to be healed.

Authority in Christ

There is power in the name of Jesus.

1 He commanded the evil spirit to come out of the demon possessed man.

2 To Simon’s mother-in-Law he just went by her bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. The fever was left her.

3 To the man with leprosy, He said “Be Healed”

4 He made clay with saliva to heal the blind

Don’t limit the power and authority of God in addressing your situation.

God heals, deliver and bless as He wills.

Luke 4:25-27 “Certainly there were many needy widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, when the heavens were closed for three and a half years, and a severe famine devastated the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them. He was sent instead to a foreigner-a widow of Zarephath in the land of Sidon. And many in Israel had leprosy in the time of the prophet Elisha, but the only one healed was Naaman, a Syrian.”

When there is a declaration at church, we all shout “Amen” and few will come with a testimony. When a pastor preaches at a sermon attended by hundreds or thousand, no matter how powerful the message was, few will run with it and to others, it was just information.

You can go to any ministry where there is deliverance, you’ll find people who are members, who you’ll wonder why the man or woman of God doesn’t deliver them. It is not their decision but God.

Exodus 33:19 The LORD replied, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.

Don’t limit the Holy Spirit.

If there is harmony in churches and we believe in the works that Jesus did, why are we not experiencing the move of the Holy Spirit? Mark 16:17-18 These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”

If all churches are following Christ, He promised his presence there. The Holy Spirit cannot be present in a place and be idle. Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

In the world, when one follows another person, they emulate their leader. Why are churches divided on what Jesus did?

Have faith in God, believe God.

He sent forth His Word to heal us.

Psalm 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. God’s creation came through the Word and nothing was created without Him. His desire is for us to live a healthy life. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
There is power in the name of Jesus, to heal and to deliver. That is a promise from God. Acts 3:16 “Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed-and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.

Not all sicknesses are medical and not all are spiritual.

Sickness can be caused or associated with evil spirit. The Ministry of healing frequently has to do with driving out demons.
Luke 4:40-41 When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God!” And He, rebuking them, did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was the Christ.

Teaching the Gospel, Healing, and Deliverance ministries.

Acts 5:12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. The fact that there is no deliverance in a ministry it does not mean the absence of demons. It simply means you gladly fellowship with them. Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons.
When Jesus sent His disciples, they had 3 tasks. Deliverance, Healing and to teach the Gospel. If Jesus acknowledges that there is a need for the three ministries and you are called but denounce one of them, who are you following. Luke 9:1-2 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Nicodemus said only one who God is with, can perform signs and wonders. The Holy Spirit cannot dwell in a place and be idle and demons cannot sit comfortably in His presence. John 3:2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
You have been given authority, use it to help God’s people.

Deliverance must be maintained.

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” A person must realize the need for deliverance not us force them into it. As Christians we like inviting people to church because we think they needs deliverance not invite them to meet Jesus. There must be pre-counseling so that a person understand deliverance. The person must also be counseled after deliverance so they can maintain what they received.
After Jesus healed this man, he was given the instruction to sin no more.
