Acts 13:22 And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’
God promised to put His law in our hearts. Our hearts can only do what these laws says if led by the Spirit. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Obedience or disobedience to the Spirit results in the character of the heart. The Bible further advise that a bad tree cannot bear bad fruits. Our hearts can only produce good results if led by the Spirit. What we see with our eyes, only reflects the state of a man’s heart. Matthew 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.
You can be led to repentance after committing sin but man can be stuck with what they saw.
1 Chronicles 28:9 “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.
1 Samuel 13:14 But now your kingdom shall not continue. The LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you.” Christianity is a heart issues. God does not look at what we do but the status of our heart as we serve Him. Acts 13:22 And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’
Because of your good heart, you’ll qualify for things you wouldn’t normally qualify for, you’ll enter places where they said no one can. God will look at you with favor, and save you when time comes to release His anger to the world.2 Kings 22:19 because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the LORD when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they would become a desolation and a curse, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you,” says the LORD.
The greatest thing God looks at is the heart, true Christianity lies in the heart. Serving is not the busyness, but serving with a pure heart. Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. If it is not in the heart, it is not in truth, it is all nothing.
Proverbs 14:14 The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, But a good man will be satisfied from above.
Luke 6:45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. God saw it necessary that the heart must be hidden far away inside the ribs and not expose it’s true character. Though the heart is deep inside, it’s character is seen by the way we leave and interact with each other. 1 John 2:14 I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one. So many goes to church everyday and confess the love they have. The difference between a fact and the truth is that, a fact can be proved wrong in the future but the truth remains. James 3:14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. A quick thermometer to see your heart character is the way you relate to those who offended you. Do you forgive as you say in the Lord’s Prayer? You cannot change some of these on your own but once acknowledge the wrong, you go to God in prayer and ask Him to deal with what you cannot change on your own. Don’t allow pride to deny you a chance for a good relationship with God. There is no way you can be a Christian and you hate and the Word does not convict you but because you allow pride to control your obedience to the Word, the heart character continues to manifest. My prayer today is that May God search our heart and remove that which is a hindrance to our Christian life.
Deuteronomy 10:16 Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer. Let’s use the time we take to look good outside, to make sure we are looking good inside. Luke 6:45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. Do not spen time meditating on the things you did not want rather meditate on the things that you want. God hid the heart very deep inside the ribs. If we can see what each think about most of the time, we will realize how far we are from pleasing God.
Matthew 12:33 “A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad. You cannot have negative thoughts about a person and wish good for him.
We are in conflict because we want to make the reality of our lives to be the reality of the next person. Have a mind that build value differences and loving the next person will be easy. Psalm 37:30-31 The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just. The law of their God is in their hearts; their feet do not slip.
