Set apart to serve the Lord as priests.

Romans 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established. A man or woman of God can only impart what they possess. Spirit gives life to spirit. 2 Timothy 1:6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. A man or woman of God cannot give you gift but can stir the gift that God gave you already.
Leviticus 7:35 This is their rightful share. The special gifts presented to the LORD have been reserved for Aaron and his descendants from the time they were set apart to serve the LORD as priests.

Leviticus 8:12 And he poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him, to consecrate him.

Catch the anointing of your leader.

Numbers 11:26 Two men, Eldad and Medad, had stayed behind in the camp. They were listed among the elders, but they had not gone out to the Tabernacle. Yet the Spirit rested upon them as well, so they prophesied there in the camp.
If there is a barrier between you and your leader, you cannot receive what they have. You must be spiritual to receive and to maintain spiritual things. By serving your leader faithfully, the anointing rubs off. There is Impartation as you fellowship together. After Elijah’s death, King Jehoshaphat asked if there was any prophet they can inquire from to here if God is in what they were about to do. One of king Joram’s officers acknowledged the fact that by virtue of Elisha serving under Elijah, he must have received part of what Elijah had.

2 Kings 3:11 But King Jehoshaphat of Judah asked, “Is there no prophet of the LORD with us? If there is, we can ask the LORD what to do through him.” One of King Joram’s officers replied, “Elisha son of Shaphat is here. He used to be Elijah’s personal assistant.”

Catch the anointing of your leader.

When you serve, just by sharing the space with your mentor, there is impartation. Impartation is not only through the laying of hands, just by breathing the same air with your mentor, you receive.

To be a personal assistant does not mean you are called but the officer believed that just by Elisha moving around with Elijah, he caught the anointing of Elijah. Servanthood requires an honest heart and dedication.

Impartation

You cannot give what you don’t have. A man of God can only impart what they possess. Spirit gives life to spirit. 2 Timothy 1:6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

A man or woman of God cannot give you gift but can stir the gift that God gave you already.

May the gift that God himself ordained you with arise.

May the gift that God himself ordained you with arise. May you find a mentor to take you to your calling. May there be impartation. 2 Timothy 1:6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

Man and woman of God don’t give you anointing, it’s within you and as you server, the gift is stirred. One day their cloak will fall on you. 2 Kings 2:15 Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said, “The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.

Are you following the person ordained to take you to your destination? The fact that a car is going the direction you are going does not make it right for you to travel in, some can be an assignment from the devil to derail you.

Joshua had Moses. Samuel had Eli . Elisha had Elijah.
