1 Kings 2:3 Observe the requirements of the LORD your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.
To do the will of God will sometimes require that we sacrifice the things we love. The devil will never leave you as long as you are too attached to created things or material things.
Genesis 22:2 “Take your son, your only son-yes, Isaac, whom you love so much-and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you.”
Micah 6:8 No, O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
The environment and animals are obedient to the Lord yet men choose not to.Luke 8:24 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm.
God is who He says He is, he does not need men to be relevant. Jonah 2:10 Then the LORD ordered the fish to spit Jonah out onto the beach.
We have been entrusted with so much responsibility yet time and time again we disappoint God. God continues to show his love for us by being patient with us. Numbers 22:28 Then the LORD gave the donkey the ability to speak. “What have I done to you that deserves your beating me three times?” it asked Balaam.
How will it take for us to turn from our ways?
Genesis 22:8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together. There are times when God takes us out from the familiar environment to an environment where we are totally dependent of Him and having an alternative is a No! No!. Imagine God ask you to move out of your current house and he does not tell you where your next sleep will be, Genesis 12:1 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. God loved Abram because he was very obedient. Acts 9:13“Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. If you still want to question why you must do things when God speak, you cannot be used of Him. Before I woke up to post this message, I was struggling to wake up because it’s 1 AM in South Africa now and the message I was getting, was to wake up and post messages. My immediate thought was, i still need to sleep, I will post in the morning. God can take away your sleep just to deal with your laziness.
Many are struggling now while they should be enjoying life because they doubt what God has showed them. They look at their ability and think, that can’t be possible. If it’s God, do it, you’ll see His hand upon your life. If you have an experience with God, nothing will move you away from Him.
Just trust and obey.
A colleague of mine owns trucks and he like giving. I sometimes tell him that if he leaved during the time the Israelites were in the desert, he would have used his truck to try and help them to reach the promised land. That would have been a good thing but against the will of God. There are people who are going through hard times because God is dealing with them. If you interfere in the process, you might end up in the receiving end of the punishment.
2 Samuel 6:6-7 When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled. The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act; therefore God struck him down, and he died there beside the ark of God.
In this scripture, Uzzah was struck for doing something that was good but not godly. As much as we want to good, involve God. God always speak in His silent voice but we ignore Him because we want to be good before man.1 Samuel 15:24Then Saul admitted to Samuel, “Yes, I have sinned. I have disobeyed your instructions and the LORD’s command, for I was afraid of the people and did what they demanded.
I pray that today if you hear Him, obey Him. Hebrews 3:7-8 So, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness.
Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity and their years in contentment.
Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord : and he delighteth in his way.
After my life was changed and accepted Jesus, I learnt that most things that we do as Christians, the background Work has already been done by our master. When you choose to start your blog page, God wanted a way he can reach his people without your physical presence. As you become obedient to His order, He start revealing what you must write about. As a blog writer I try to be in a position that allow me to hear God mostly in silence.
I pray that God reveal more to what. He want us to say to his people.
