If you know someone will offend you, you have the opportunity to respond positively.

Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.


Have peace in mind.

Romans 12:18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.When God comes, let him find your house in peace.Luke 19:42 “How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes.

Our focus must be on him, people will disappoint and hurt us, but in him we will find peace. John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

When you want peace, be the peace maker. Romans 14:19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

God commands blessings where there is peace. Psalm 133:1-3 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing- Life forevermore.

Stay in peace with those around you.

Psalm 133:1-3 How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe. Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And there the LORD has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting.

*Be a blessing to those around you.

*Some people don’t have anything but have good hearts.

The price of peace

Mark 9:50 “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.

The people around you, is your assignment. Your spouse, children, manager at work, colleagues and friends. They are you ministry. They will offend you at times but because you are the one need peace, there is a price to eat.

Isaiah 42:14 “I have held My peace a long time, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry like a woman in labor, I will pant and gasp at once.

As a Christian, you are the one who need peace, so do all you can to maintain it. Let God fight the fight for you. Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

Jesus paid with His blood for our peace. Colossians 1:19-20 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
