Pray not because you want things but because you have a relationship with God

Even before you pray, I shall answer you. When you are in His will, blessings are given. There are things that we have and we never prayed for.
Isaiah 65:24 “It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.

A relationship is two-way. Take time to hear from God. There are things we just need direction on what to do and can’t hear the instructions if we are the one always talking.

God heard Sarah’s silent laugh, how about your prayer.

Genesis 18:12-14 So she laughed silently to herself and said, “How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master-my husband-is also so old?” Then the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, ‘Can an old woman like me have a baby?’ Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”

In due time He’ll come through for you. Trust God even if it seems impossible. Ask God for things you cannot do on your own then you’ll know it’s only Him who made it happen.

It’s not that God does not hear you when you pray but examine yourself to check if you qualifies to ask.

Before you pray, is your heart right with God. James 5:16 The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. When the Israelites complained, God heard them but it took Moses’s prayer to stop the fire. Hezekiah did everything that pleased God, but he acknowledged Isaiah authority and asked Him to pray to God when they were faced with opposition. 2 Kings 18:3 And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father David had done.

God used Aaron to perform miracles before Pharaoh but when it was time to cross the see, He gave instruction to Moses to stretch his hand over the sea. Exodus 14:16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

Acknowledge that there are issues that are above your spiritual level. When the people of Moab wanted to attack Jehoshaphat he fasted and went to God for guidance but the answer was given to Jahaziel. 2 Chronicles 20:14-15 Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly. And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

The desire to pray is birthed by the Holy Spirit and all we have to do is respond to Him and discipline ourselves to pray until it becomes a delight.

When something has been made real in your spiritual life by the intercession of the spirit, the prayer become effective because it’s coming from inside. Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

When we pray, we pray for things that are inspired by the spirit for us to have. We are predestined beings. My potion is know in the spirit. My faith can never above His will for my life.

Don’t despair your answer is in transit.

God’s answer is Yes, Wait, and NO and they are all for our own good. Daniel 10:12-13 Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia.

Sometimes wait seem like a know but God is still preparing you. Sometimes God protect us by refusing our request because we might get injured in the process.
