As you leave on earth, it’s impossible not to fall to sin but Jesus Christ stands in the gap for us. Jesus know our weaknesses and ensures that that which we cannot stand is avoided. Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
Jesus promised that those that God directed to Him, he will not loose them. He intercedes on our behalf. The devil is roaring like a lion, looking for that time when you are weak so he can pounce. 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Ephesians 5:15-16 So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
The power of sin has been nullified through Jesus, the life-giving spirit has freed us from the power of sin. Romans 8:5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
You can't be filled with the Holy Spirit and do what is contrary to it.
You cannot continue as normal after receiving the grace of salvation. There are things no matter how good Satan has packaged them, move away from them. Romans 6:20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
Warm Christians are dangerous. When you go back to your ways, it’s like nullifying all that the Cross has achieved. Revelation 3:15-16 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. If you do anything you believe is not right, you are sinning. James 4:17 Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
