Deal with people at the level that they are in else you might not reach them.

God saw that it will be difficult for people to believe should he have tried to reconcile us with him in his spiritual being. Instead he came in an image we are familiar with, the flesh.

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh.

Sometimes you need to lower yourself to a level where people are for them to hear you and connect with you.

Jesus could have turned the water to juice but instead turned it to wine because that’s what the people identified with at the time. John 2:9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.

You cannot speak to new believers the same way you deal with those who have been in Christ longer. Understand that people are not the same not that others cannot change, they need to be natured. Hebrews 5:12-14 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

The Spirit in a man

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

The spirit of a man will sustain him

It’s impossible for the body to recovery when you already picture yourself in the coffin. Proverbs 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, But who can bear a broken spirit.

You cannot hide a good heart so is a bad heart.

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the boneThe spirit of a man will sustain him.

Why am I offended, why can’t I forgive?

A man or woman of God give the best sermon about forgiveness yet a good percent of the congregation will go to sleep with somebody they did not forgive. You get preaching about anger but before the sunset, something would have made you angry.

Our main problem is that we leave more in the flesh than in the spirit. When two dogs fight the one that is well fed wins. If you feed your flesh more than the spirit, your decisions will be informed by the flesh.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

It’s easy to recite a verse that the Spirit lives in me but does it inform your actions? Can you not forgive when Christ live in you? Will you talk bad about another person when Christ is with you?

Make the Word the standard of your life, it will speak within you before you speak. When confronted by a situation, the Word will speak love, Instead of hush words, you’ll forgive. Matthew 10:19-20 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

Preaching and Teaching only have power to change when the Spirit is involved.

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

What you teach and preach should be what you learnt from Him because that’s what He is saying to His people.
