When you have a testimony, remember that the devil is not happy that your story will turn many to the Lord.

John 12:9-11 When all the people heard of Jesus’ arrival, they flocked to see him and also to see Lazarus, the man Jesus had raised from the dead. Then the leading priests decided to kill Lazarus, too, for it was because of him that many of the people had deserted them and believed in Jesus.

Testimonies are one of the most effective teachings because it’s about real experience.

Wish for an experience with God. Testimony is more effective in getting people to see things differently, it gives people hope. John 1:41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ).

You cannot meet Jesus and remain the same. When people see you, they must have the desire to meet your God. John 9:8 Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said, “Is not this he who sat and begged?”

Psalm 103:2 Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. Testimony helps to strengthen us and those around us. When people hear what the Lord has done in your life, it helps them to be hopeful in their situation.

Mark 5:19 However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.”

Remember what God did in your life. It’s easy to trust God when you have had an experience with Him, new challenges becomes easy to handle. The experience that David had as heard boy, prepared him to face Goliath.

Exodus 17:14 After the victory, the LORD instructed Moses, “Write this down on a scroll as a permanent reminder, and read it aloud to Joshua: I will erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”

We all share testimony about the things God did for us, but does He have a testimony about us?

Hebrews 11:5 It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying-“he disappeared, because God took him.” For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God. When all is said and done, will He have a glorious testimony about us?We all have an opportunity to please God. In our walk with Him, are we directed by Him? Run a perfect race with a perfect testimony. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.
