Matthew 13:18-19 “Therefore hear the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. The Bible is like any book, bought at any street corner but becomes the Holy Bible, when you leave it. Leaving it means being guided by the Holy Spirit. Why is it that man and woman of God stand on the pulpit and denounce a certain way of preaching when we are all reading the same book, following the same Master? Acts 8:29-31 The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and walk along beside the carriage.” Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The man replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.
When you preach without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you are just giving information hence some will come out and say the sermon was boring. Holy Spirit must guide you in what His people thirst for. Don’t say wha people want to hear but what will change their lives.
John 14:26 But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative-that is, the Holy Spirit-he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
Deuteronomy 6:6-9 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

The bible is our sword that we must arm ourselves with to fight in the spiritual war fair.Ephesians 6:17-18 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
A prayerless life provides and entry for the spiritual life to be attacked. When Jesus was tempted by the devil in the wilderness after His forty days fast,He said “it is written”
Don’t help the devil by confessing negative. Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'”There is a battle between God and our mind, be a master of your mind. When situations come and you are founded in the Word, you’ll have an answer.Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Psalm 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. Make the Word the standard for your life. Our spirit act upon the Word. Feed it with the Word
Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
God speaks to us through His Word and work in us by the spirit. You cannot hear him minus His Word. Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.
We all receive preaching but impacted in different ways. Same church people are prospering while others are stagnant. Hebrews 4:2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
May the Word work in us instead of us using it to boast to others about verses.
