The devil is good at using the truth to bring conflict. He I’ll give you half-truth, don’t run with a verse. Seek the deep things of the kingdom in the Word. John 8:4-5 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?”
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?
When you are seen to be cosy with one who is wrong, it’s more likely you agree with the behavior and given the opportunity, you can participate also. The bible says, light and darkness cannot exist together.
John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 7:17 If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.
If what you are doing is from God, it will agree with the word. James 3:14-15 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.
The Word of God remains. Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
What I want to do looks good but is it from God. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.
John 8:31-32 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
2 Samuel 6:6-7 When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled. The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act; therefore God struck him down, and he died there beside the ark of God. There is a difference between doing good and doing something that is godly. May the Spirit guide us in our path so we can know when to act. Hebrews 5:14 Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong. Not anything that shines is a diamond. Be sensitive to the Spirit because He always intercede on our behalf so we don’t commit sin. Romans 9:33 God warned them of this in the Scriptures when he said, “I am placing a stone in Jerusalem that makes people stumble, a rock that makes them fall. But anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Be interdependent on others but be dependent on God.
