Having a vision helps you focus.

There will be dry seasons but your vision will help you not to give up. Your vision makes you respond to situations in a positive way. Sometimes the challenges are necessary in helping us to appreciate our progress and the blessings. Genesis 45:4-5 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer. And he said again, “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt. But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives.

Sometimes it is important to keep your future plans to yourself until you implement. Remember that what you are excited about not everyone share the same feeling. People can discourage and tell you how impossible is your vision. People will cause you to terminate your dream prematurely. Hide the baby, Herod want to kill it. Sometimes you have to go through rough times before you get to your blessings. Matthew 2:13 After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother,” the angel said. “Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

Nehemiah 2:19  But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?”

Don’t let committees in your church control your vision, it was given to you alone. They must support you.

Acts 22:9-10 “And those who were with me indeed saw the light and were afraid, but they did not hear the voice of Him who spoke to me. So I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me, ‘Arise and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all things which are appointed for you to do.’ If you allow committees to run you as a man or woman of God, they will nutralize you. You alone got the instruction and only from you will God seek answers.

And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision

There are times when I come with a business idea and my wife don’t understand it or see how we are going to implement it and similarly, there are those that she come with that I struggle to see beyond implementation. What one need to understand is that the vision is shown to one person and the other’s role is to support to see it through. Daniel 10:7 And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great terror fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. There are couple of scriptures of men and women of God that we can learn from.

When the Lord appeared to Paul, only him alone idetified the voice and those with him heard it but did not recognize it. Acts 26:16  But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.

Once you hear or see the vision sometimes you need to close your ears because people can confuse. John 12:29 Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.”

There are a lot of ministries that the man or woman of God is controlled by a committee of some sot but who saw the vision, who heard the voice? What happens when the committee disagree? Man will rather disappoint God than man. I’m not the one to judge but from the few scriptures here, as one who is called by God, you should be careful when you decide to have committees because they will disagree with your vision at some point.

Exodus 3:2 And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.

God can declare a promise but He does not tell what will happen between the time he declares and when it happens. What happens during waiting is important.

Genesis 17:15-16 God also said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you are no longer to call her Sarai; her name will be Sarah. I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.”
Be like Joshua. Though put in the pit, he focused on the vision God showed him.

When one doors closes it does not mean that your vision is wrong. Open the roof and enter.

Mark 2:4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.When one doors closes it does not mean that your vision is wrong. Open the roof and enter.
You are failing because you want to stick to what you know. What did you stop because of people and sticking to what you know?

God is showing you a vision, be able to hear and do.

Fear is more than prison, it will cripple you. Matthew 25:25-27,30 So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.

When you are afraid to start, you are not only failing yourself but God and the people who were supposed to benefit from the vision God gave you. Fix yourself on positive things else when God show you things, you’ll only see negative things and miss what He is giving you.

Fear God not what He shows you. Proverbs 19:23 The fear of the LORD leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.
