1 Corinthians 4:20 For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.

We have power and authority limited only by our thinking by our thing. Luke 9:1-2 One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

If Prophets knew everything, they won’t see a reason to have a relationship with God.

Acts 2:30-31 But he was a prophet, and he knew God had promised with an oath that one of David’s own descendants would sit on his throne. David was looking into the future and speaking of the Messiah’s resurrection. He was saying that God would not leave him among the dead or allow his body to rot in the grave.

David was a prophet and a great man of God, yet issues that pertained him, came through other prophets. 2 Samuel 7:4-5 But it happened that night that the word of the LORD came to Nathan, saying, “Go and tell My servant David, ‘Thus says the LORD: “Would you build a house for Me to dwell in?

Few years back Prophet TB Joshua faced huge criticism after his building collapsed and lives were lost. People were saying if he is a prophet, why didn’t he see this before it happened. Elisha could discern that the Shunammite woman was troubled but God did not reveal what was troubling her. 2 Kings 4:27 But when she came to the man of God at the mountain, she fell to the ground before him and caught hold of his feet. Gehazi began to push her away, but the man of God said, “Leave her alone. She is deeply troubled, but the LORD has not told me what it is.”

Because of the lack of knowledge and understand of prophetic ministries, people speak of prophet as if they are perfect beings. The negativity that comes because of false prophets is not helping either. If everything in our life was perfect, there won’t be a need to worship God. Satan fell from grace because he thought of himself equal to God.

False Prophets

The coming of the prophets is written in the Bible yet people who go to church act surprised. We aught to have prepared church for this coming. Matthew 24:24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Why stand on the pulpit and speak bad about prophetic and deliverance ministries because there are false prophets. Is it because the pastors also don’t know how to tell between a true and a false prophet? Teach people Word don’t use it to divide the house of God. All these Gift should work together for the good of the church.

When church is divided, the devil prospers.

Jesus’s ministry is not only preaching.

Luke 6:18 They had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; and those troubled by evil spirits were healed.

He healed the sick, cast out demons and performed many miracles. When He left, He left us the Holy Spirit that enables us to continue with His ministry. Where the Holy Spirit is present, all this signs follows.

Ephesians 4:11-12 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

All these gifts are to work together for the good of the Church not fight each other. Today, people talk negative about deliverance ministry. Wherever Jesus went, people brought people who were sick and demon possessed. What must happen to this kind today if this ministry is denounced. The fact that we believe some are using the vulnerability of people need for their benefit, does not mean the work must stop.

Luke 24:49 “And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.”

The Holy Spirit cannot be at a place and be idle. Those who believe confirms their preaching with the signs. Mark 16:20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

A journey with Jesus means there are things that you have to let go of.

Luke 5:11 And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus. Peter, James and John were normal fisherman and as soon as they met Jesus, they left everything. Not that what they were doing was wrong but a life with Jesus require some sacrifice. There are things you used to do, places you used to go, that you won’t have time for. Ask the Lord for wisdom as you transition so you can maintain relationships. Luke 5:27-28 Later, as Jesus left the town, he saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Levi got up, left everything, and followed him. In this journey you have to let go of good and bad things. We don’t follow Jesus the same way. There are those who follow at a distance and those who must be close to the scene. We don’t serve God the same way. We understand the Bible differently, hence what we believe in and what we do is different. Exodus 24:1-2 Then the LORD instructed Moses: “Come up here to me, and bring along Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of Israel’s elders. All of you must worship from a distance. Only Moses is allowed to come near to the LORD. The others must not come near, and none of the other people are allowed to climb up the mountain with him.”
