Love your enemies, keep them at a distance.
Proverbs 25:21-22 If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, And the LORD will reward you.
We have an obligation to love one another.
Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. We don’t have to be friends but there must be peace with those around us.
Always pray for others. Your country needs you. Your relatives needs you. We are hear because somebody prayed.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
Habakkuk 3:2 Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.
Love each other as brothers and sisters. a Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.
Why are people leaving the old style church setup or main line denomination?
People complain about charismatic churches that are coming out everywhere attracting a lot of Christians from the mainline churches. People know the scriptures and want to experience the works of the Holy Spirit. People want to see the manifestation of the Word. Mark 1:27-28 Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. “What sort of new teaching is this?” they asked excitedly. “It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!” The news about Jesus spread quickly throughout the entire region of Galilee.
In most of the mainline denomination, people are leaving in the poverty line, pastors struggle to keep up with the cost of leaving and that is the life that those who don’t go to church are accustomed to. When a Pastor start prospering, he is accused of abusing the congregation’s Money. I was shocked when I visited the church I grew up in, to find them still using the old long bench setup that we used 30 years ago.
The draw back to charismatic churches is that in the quest for spiritual gifts and blessings, people are often abuse by false pastors. Those who believed are followed by signs and wonders. The Holy Spirit cannot dwell in a place and be idle.
You cannot give your Pastor when your own parents are struggling and leaving in poverty line.
Mark 7:11-12 But you say it is all right for people to say to their parents, ‘Sorry, I can’t help you. For I have vowed to give to God what I would have given to you.’ In this way, you let them disregard their needy parents.
Drinking and Smoking people have always been seen as the biggest sinners but there is a sin from the heart that is not visible to a man, that defiles him.
Mark 7:18-19 So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?”
Don’t get consumed by the destructive activities Satan has created in this earth.
1 John 5:21 Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.
