What matters in a Christian’s o life is a heart that is obedient to the Spirit.

Acts 13:22 And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’

God promised to put His law in our hearts. Our hearts can only do what these laws says if led by the Spirit. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Obedience or disobedience to the Spirit results in the character of the heart. The Bible further advise that a bad tree cannot bear bad fruits. Our hearts can only produce good results if led by the Spirit. What we see with our eyes, only reflects the state of a man’s heart. Matthew 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.

You can be led to repentance after committing sin but man can be stuck with what they saw.

Moving in God’s promises and plans.

Deuteronomy 9:4-5 “Do not think in your heart, after the LORD your God has cast them out before you, saying, ‘Because of my righteousness the LORD has brought me in to possess this land’; but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the LORD is driving them out from before you. It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations that the LORD your God drives them out from before you, and that He may fulfill the word which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Involve God in your decisions.

When Philemon wanted Paul to visit, Paul waited for God’s approval. Don’t be carried away by people thinking you are doing God’s work, be directed by Him, you will bear fruits.

Philemon 1:22 One more thing-please prepare a guest room for me, for I am hoping that God will answer your prayers and let me return to you soon.

Desire the best gift.

1 Corinthians 12:28 Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages.

Why is the prophetic hated if it’s the one gift we must desire to have. 1 Corinthians 14:1 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. Prophets speaks the oracles of God, the deep things and the devil don’t want people to come out from the cage that he has boxed them in. That one thing that is in the forefront of fighting his kingdom is full of controversies for a reason.

Move in your calling

Those who are called focus on their calling.

1 Corinthians 12:7-10 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.
